Jian-7 Target Drone

The PLA Air Force (PLAAF) has converted some of its retired Jian-7 fighters into unmanned target drone to simulate enemy aircraft in air-to-air and surface-to-air weapon testing. The pilot seat on these aircraft has been removed and replaced by radio control equipment. The Jian-7 target drone can fly at supersonic speed and simulate typical manoeuvres of modern combat aircraft.
